New Pilot Program Field Gleaning
Field Gleaning: Volunteers (called gleaners) visit farms after harvest. Farmers donate what remains in their fields, which is then collected and donated to food banks.
Resourceful Use: Gleaning ensures that food doesn’t go to waste and benefits those who struggle with hunger. This program starts at the end of the growing season 2024, September to November.
Community Garden
In collaboration with the Patchogue Community Garden this endeavor promises to be an excellent way to help the community by growing our own produce to be given to people in need. Our mission is about the health and well-being of our local community by using plant based whole foods. For our volunteers this garden is an ideal way to give back to the community while meeting new friends and coming together to learn, plant and #Growinharmony.
